Announcing another “Idiot Quilter” Fall Retreat! Saturday, October 19, 2024
If you attended the last few Idiot Quilter Retreats, you know how much fun we had.
Registrations opens on Saturday October 5 at 9:00AM (ET). Please do not try to register before this time and date; if you do so, your registration will not be recorded.
To reserve your spot, please send me an email message ([email protected]) between Saturday October 5 and Monday October 14, 2024. I need your full name (i.e. first and last) and the contact email address that you would like me to use. That is all there is too it! (but please register early because I think this event is going to fill up fast!)
This is an absolutely Free Event- the registration is just to make sure I have a spot for you.
If by chance, all the spots available fill up before you have an opportunity to pre-register, I will establish a waiting list and add your name to it. If someone from the pre-registration list drops out, I will take the names (in the order they were sent to me) from the waiting list and add them to the pre-registration list.
If by chance, you know you cannot make the Retreat (life happens!) and you are already pre-registered, please let me know via email so that I can remove you from the list and open up a spot for someone on the waiting list.
The retreat will run from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time) on Saturday October 19, 2024.
Bonus event: On the Friday night before (October 18, 2024), Walter and I will be hosting a “Pre-Retreat Cocktail Party!” Join us at 7:00 PM (EST) with your favourite snacks and beverages and meet some of the other participants. We will also chat and maybe play a game or two. This is an ice breaker event and everyone is welcome. Also, show us one of your favourite creations during the party- it’s “Show Off and Share!!” (so don’t be shy).
During the day of the Retreat, we will have three presentations (to be announced later). There will also be “Show and Share” sessions throughout the day that will give those that wish to an opportunity to display their works in progress. There will also be a “Slide Presentation of your Favourite Creations”.
If you would like to be part of the Slide Presentation, please email me one picture (in jpg format) of your creation and be sure to include your full name and general location (no written explanation about your creation is needed) by Monday October 14,2024.
Prizes! There will also be several draws during the retreat for Amazon Gift Certificates and Digital Patterns.
In the next few weeks before the Retreat, I will be sending out email updates and creating announcements on my You Tube Channel (   / stevenbland  ) so please watch for these.
