日本で飼育されているマルミミゾウは2頭だけと書いてありました。撮影時，サバンナゾウと別々に飼育するようマルミミゾウ舎が新築中でした。

【追記】
この動画中に出てくるサバンナゾウの"アイ(雌)"は，2021年7月29に天国に逝きました。推定39歳。東京の多摩動物公園の所属で，もう一頭の雄のお嫁さんとして2011年に安佐動物公園に来ていたそうです。(中国新聞2021.07.31の記事より引用しました)
