On Sunday before the Browns and 49ers went to war, former Browns and 49ers safety Donte Whitner called the Browns defense pretenders.

He felt that Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffery, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle would steam roll the Browns and continue to improve to 6-0. However, Jim Schwartz and the Browns defense had other plans.

Cleveland held the 49ers offense under 300 total yards, and ultimately won the game after Jake Moody missed a 41 yard field goal as time expired.

The win was a signature one for Kevin Stefanski and this Browns team, but there are still a lot of question coming from fans: when will Deshaun Watson be back seems to be the biggest one.

Regardless, Cleveland is now 3-2 headed into week 7 and very much alive and well.
