Ingredients:
500g minced meat (beef or lamb)
2 onions, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, chopped
2 tbsp oil or ghee
2-3 cloves garlic, minced
1-inch piece of ginger, grated or minced
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
1 tsp garam masala powder
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions:

1. *Preparation:*
Heat oil or ghee in a pan over medium heat.
Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

2. *Sauté Aromatics:*
Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

3. *Add Garlic and Ginger:*
Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for another minute until fragrant.

4. *Add Spices:*
Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute to let the spices roast.

5. *Cook Minced Meat:*
Add the minced meat (qeema) to the pan. Break up any lumps and mix well with the spices. Cook until the meat is browned and cooked through.

Add chopped tomatoes to the pan. Mix well and cook until tomatoes are softened and the mixture becomes somewhat dry.

7. *Simmer:*
Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the qeema simmer for about 10-15 minutes. This helps the flavors meld together.

8. *Finish:*
Sprinkle garam masala powder and stir to combine. Cook for another minute.

9. *Garnish and Serve:*
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
Serve hot with roti, naan, or rice. Squeeze fresh lemon juice on top before serving for extra flavor.
