I chose the incredible visual trip of the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) to accompany these tunes that John Kelly (Scotland) and I (Canada) did this week through our internet connections for Mandolin Cafe. Mandolins, octave, and guitars give an upbeat acoustic rendering to these two songs. The actual Great North Run is the largest half-marathon not only in England but in the world - and when I think of North I think of snow and Northern Lights and magical imagery they give us. Many pictures are not just from Canada but all over including Scotland, Scandinavia and even Australia (Southern Lights)
