Christian Forshaw's heavenly arrangement of Orlando Gibbons' much-loved choral staple was originally written to include a soprano saxophone descant, but here includes the top line sung by a soprano soloist. We hope you love it as much as we love singing it, and we're really excited to be performing this in concert at St Bartholomew-the-Great in London on 13th June. This recording was filmed live at St Mary's Church, Ealing in March 2024.

Drop, drop, slow tears,
And bathe those beauteous feet
Which brought from Heaven
The news and Prince of Peace.

Cease not, wet eyes,
His mercy to entreat;
To cry for vengeance
Sin doth never cease.

In your deep floods
Drown all my faults and fears;
Nor let His eye
See sin, but through my tears.
