Why study moral philosophy? How human altruism can be explained? Do we have free will? Where does the willingness to sacrifice oneself for others come from, and is it right to sacrifice one person to save five? Does virtue contradict economic prosperity? Can absolute equality be just?
Serious Science experts from leading universities worldwide answer these and other questions. This course offers a range of scientific perspectives on classical philosophical problems in ethics. It is comprised of 8 lectures filmed from 2014 to 2020. If you have any questions or comments on the content of this course, please write to us at [email protected].
