On day 2, GNS participants traveled from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan's capital to Issyk-Kul Lake, known as the "pearl of Central Asia". On the way to the lake, during a stop in in the Kemin Valley, participants were exposed to “Nomadic experience” village festival.

At “Ashu” Guest House guests learne more about Kyrgyz national traditions and played some of the traditional sports, such as falconry and archery. Assembling a yurt, the traditional house of nomads, and going on short horseback riding tours, allowed them to experience the nomadic lifestyle. Guests interested in cooking took part in making the Kyrgyz traditional fried bread “boorsok”, while listening to local musicians perform some of the best Kyrgyz music pieces.
