Madness starts at 4:27 ;)

"Where Dragons Dwell from the album « From Mars to Sirius » is the most intense Gojira song to perform live. Especially because of the ending. This song, which speaks of confronting your own personal demons, always fascinated me with it’s demanding physical performance. The end section is a complete corporeal trance for me. With a relentless double kick pattern at 180bpm lasting from 4-9 minutes.

I use all the force in my knees and thighs to generate the energy required to execute this section. The first minute of demanding thirty-second notes is hard on my body, and the following minute is when my legs start to tingle. From that point on it’s so intense that my mind starts to drift a little.

With this intensity at a maximum level, sometimes the trance transports me beyond the pain. It even feels like my body is floating above the drum kit.

Naturally, when the song is over and I come out of the trance, there are consequences sometimes. When we extend the part for almost 10 minutes, I’ve actually felt like I was going deaf, and even had sensations of numbness in my pelvis and legs for a few seconds after the song is over."
-Mario (Gojira)

This song made my legs soar for a long time. I honestly don't know how Mario is able to pull this off for a longer period of time in the live version.
