It's a cold night
Crickets are chirping
The leaves rustle and the flowers bloom
Everyone is deep in slumber
And I'm the last one standing
I toss and turn until my beddings become undone
Negative thoughts keep coming
Ruminating mistakes and thinking about tomorrow
Sabotaging myself and feelings of being inadequate
And how I don't fit in the society
I resort to listening to rain sounds
But it doesn't make a difference
Still I toss and still I turn
The Doctors gave me some pills
I got insomnia,they said
they told me the pill should help me
But it hardly works
3am everyone is asleep
I can't sleep my mind can't let me
All I have is racing thoughts
About my phobias ,my past,my future
They are overwhelming and I wish I would turn my mind off
I just want a good night's sleep,is it too much to ask?
