Tradition around here is to name the bull after the owner from whom you received the bull from. Mr. Chesnutt, the young bull and the heifers, had their 1st day to check out their new farm home. The young herd was let out this morning, I called them back to the corral area around lunchtime so they knew where to get water. About 5 p.m., I called them back to corral and pinned them up for the night. This will be repeated for a couple of days until the calves get to know their new home. Not only did the calves find and explore their new farm home today, but a good farm neighbor also found his way home as well.
R.I.P. Bill Chesnutt 04/14/57 to 02/17/23, you definitely will be missed by family and friends, sir.
