Picking up from the last video on the grip and lever, here, I describe how the upper body moves in the golf swing; it is the transmission of the golf swing. The upper body motion of the golf swing is simple to describe, easy to understand, yet difficult to perform. The triangle is your main unit, and it moves as one piece in the takeaway. The club hinges or cocks at the top of the swing during the transition by stopping upper body rotation. As the body begins to rotate back towards the ball, the club, hands, and arms, LAG behind. Rotation continues until impact, at which point the club is unhinged or released by stopping the arms and hands. The followthrough happens naturally as the momentum of the club carries you around. Relaxation is key to fluidity.
