A workbench vise is a common tool in the woodworking shop. Here I show some tricks using the workbench vise that are useful to find the center of a wood cylinder, to clamp correctly a workpiece and joint small pieces with the help of a planer. I really like the woodworking tip to clamp correctly a vertical wooden strip so we can saw the head of the strip to cut a tenon or any other shape.
Regardless to the way I use to find the center of a cylinder, well, you can see we don't need to make a center finder. That trick is based on another video that you can also watch in my woodworking channel:
• How to find the center of a cylinder
I also find quite interesting the kind of diy jointer that we can make clamping the wood planer upside down in the workbench vise.
