The subway car hummed softly as it glided along the tracks, the faint murmur of conversations blending with the rhythmic clatter of the wheels. Through the panoramic windows, the cityscape blurred by, neon lights flickering like distant stars against the bright sky.

I sat by the window, my holographic textbook hovering in front of me, pages flipping with a flick of my finger as I reviewed my lessons from the day. The air was filled with the scent of synthetic coffee and the occasional whiff of street food from vendors at the station stops.

As the train made its way deeper into the heart of the city, the crowds thinned, and I found myself lost in thought, gazing out at the passing buildings. Each one seemed to tell a story, a testament to the passage of time and the resilience of humanity.

Suddenly, a soft chime sounded, signaling my stop. With a sigh, I gathered my belongings and made my way to the door as the train slowed to a halt. Stepping out onto the platform, I joined the throngs of people making their way home, the city pulsing with life around me.
