The Administration of Union Territory of Ladakh and Public Health and Engineering (PHE) Department of Leh, with support from BORDA and LEDeG, attempted continuous water supply scheme in Gangles region of Leh, Ladakh. This project integrated technological interventions (Pipe Insulation, Ultrasonic Meters, Automatic Meter Reading, Telescopic Rates etc.) with local solutions, in the coldest region of Leh, to provide continuous water supply at household level. The project was successfully implemented with strong community participation and even sustained in the harsh winter of Leh (negative 20 degree Celsius).
