Local Stamford sculptor James Knowles created a new bronze eagle for the island in eagle pond at Greenwich point. This year the town removed the nest from the eagle statue and erected a nesting platform near the statue. Ospreys being creatures of habitat choose to rebuild the nest on the statue.
