Una delle città più affascinanti che abbiamo visto in giro per l'Italia è Matera in Basilicata.
E' conosciuta come la città dei sassi, ossia i quartieri presenti, che sono il fulcro della città lucana.

📍Ecco una lista di cose da vedere in un viaggio a Matera:

🪨Sasso Caveoso, è un sali e scendi di gradini con piccole stradine e di ambienti ricavati nella roccia. Ci sono tantissimi punti panoramici da girare ed antiche chiese rupestri.

🪨Sasso Barisano, è il rione nella parte nord della città, qui l'architettura materana è stata soggetta a varie ristrutturazioni nel corso degli anni e quindi, l'aspetto è più moderno. Ci sono ristoranti, negozi di artigianato locale e prodotti tipici.

🪨Civita, è il punto di origine della vita sociale e urbanistica dei Sassi, nonchè il punto più alto della città.

🪨Rione Casalnuovo, è il rione che, con la sua strada panoramica, punta verso le tipiche costruzioni nella roccia e verso il canyon della gravina materana.

🪨Parco della Murgia materana, è la zona più selvaggia, il territorio è caratterizzato da una vasta vegetazione e da antiche cave di tufo, abitato sin dalla preistoria. Puoi raggiungere il parco con un percorso di trekking attraversando il ponte tibetano, oppure in auto puoi arrivare al belvedere Murgia Timone ed ammirare il panorama.

One of the most fascinating cities we have seen around Italy is Matera in Basilicata.
It is known as the city of stones, that is the districts present, which are the fulcrum of the Lucanian city.

📍Here is a list of things to see on a trip to Matera:

🪨Sasso Caveoso, is an ups and downs of steps with small streets and environments carved into the rock. There are many viewpoints to go around and ancient rock churches.

🪨Sasso Barisano, is the district in the northern part of the city, here the Matera architecture has been subject to various renovations over the years and therefore, the appearance is more modern. There are restaurants, local craft shops and typical products.

🪨Civita is the point of origin of the social and urban life of the Sassi, as well as the highest point of the city.

🪨Rione Casalnuovo, is the district that, with its panoramic road, points towards the typical constructions in the rock and towards the canyon of the Materana ravine.

🪨Parco della Murgia materana, is the wildest area, the territory is characterized by a vast vegetation and ancient tuff quarries, inhabited since prehistoric times. You can reach the park with a trekking path crossing the Tibetan bridge, or by car you can get to the Murgia Timone viewpoint and admire the view.
