The Prophet ﷺ is buried in the Sacred Chamber, along with two of his most faithful companions and the first two caliphs of Islam, Abu Bakr al-Siddiq and Umar ibn al-Khattab. The Sacred Chamber was once the house (hujra) of his wife Aisha – the house in which he was staying in at the time of his physical demise. Today, it forms part of the Masjid Nabawi complex and is the most venerated tomb in the world. The graves are surrounded by several walls which have no windows or doors and thus can’t be seen or accessed.

Visiting the city of Madina and the Mosque of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم is not included in the rituals of Hajj.
However, if time permits, it is a highly recommended action to do so.
This may be your only opportunity to carry out a Ziyarah of the mosque Masjid Al- Nabawi and so
this opportunity should not be missed.
• Your group may visit Madina before or after the Hajj.
• There is not a specific number of days that you must stay in either city/country.
NOTE: There are no authentic references recommending you to stay for 40 Jama’ah prayers.
Whether you stay for more or fewer, it does not compromise your Hajj.

Upon entering the Masjid, proceed by praying 2 Rak’ah Tahiyyatul Masjid (Naf).
With Suratal Kafirun and Ikhlas.
SALAM TO PROPHET صلى الله عليه وسلم AND HIS COMPANIONS
Upon completing Tahiyyatul Masjid, join the queue for the Ziyarah
