TV DUEL: Hundreds of thousands of foreigners out? Weidel wants drastic remigration in Germany!

The migration debate plays a central role in both the USA and Germany and has a significant influence on political developments, as was recently the case with the election results. Alice Weidel, co-chair of the AfD, commented on this and spoke of the need to consistently deport foreigners who are required to leave the country. This involves hundreds of thousands to millions of people, as her party colleague Björn Höcke has also indicated.

Weidel states that under the then Chancellor Angela Merkel, the applicable law on migration issues was repealed. She criticizes the fact that Germany no longer has any control over its borders and sees the Dublin Regulation and the right to asylum being disregarded by Merkel's policy. Weidel emphasizes that asylum is a temporary protection and must not be used as a means of immigration and naturalization.

The AfD also rejects the "naturalization boost" pushed forward by the traffic light coalition, which allows migrants to acquire citizenship after just three years in Germany, even without sufficient language skills or proof of employment.
