Synopsis - Bai Mothi Bhagyachi is a 1968 Marathi drama starring Madhu Apte, Master Bhagwan and Saroj Borkar. Orphaned at the age of 8, abused by her maternal uncle' wife, Bharti is nevertheless told that her astrological chart foretells good things. The opposite happens when she refuses to marry Parshram, who vindictively breaks up her marriage ceremony with mentally challenged Sudhir. Bharti relocates to live in Bombay where she ends up in a brothel.
