The Yamaha DX7 is one of the most popular synthesizers of all time and, if you can learn how to program it, it's easy to see why. In this video, I take you through the process of replacing the internal battery. The DX7 uses a 3v battery to store all of your presets and when that starts to die, you'll lose all of your patches and it can appear that the synth is broken. Fear not! This is one of the simplest and cheapest repairs there is.
