In Calgary, United Conservative Party Leader Danielle Smith marks the start of the provincial election campaign with a promise to reduce income taxes. She promises to create a new bracket for income under $60,000, index all tax brackets to inflation and pass a bill mandating that any increase to personal or business taxes be approved by a provincial referendum.
