The pine species Swiss stone pine (often called Swiss stone pine) is the most frost-hardy conifer in the Alps and can live up to 1200 years. Its needles can withstand temperatures as low as minus 40 degrees Celsius. But even large temperature fluctuations cannot harm the "Queen of the Alps". Its distribution ranges from 1,500 to 2,400 meters above sea level. For hundreds of years, people have been using the noble wood for further processing in the construction of furniture. A bed made of Swiss stone pine, metal-free and with a pleasant scent, is considered a long-lasting and beneficial purchase. In the end, the bed costs about 3,800 euros. Tobias Liebert in Adam's carpentry shop in Schillingen in Hunsrück shows how it's done.
