Matsusaka Station is a union passenger railway station in the city of Matsusaka, Mie Prefecture, operated jointly by Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) and Kintetsu.
Matsusaka Station is served by the JR Kisei Main Line and is 34.6 rail kilometers from the terminus of the line at Kameyama Station. It is also a terminus for the 43.5 kilometer JR Meishō Line to Ise-Okitsu Station. The station is also served by the Kintetsu Yamada Line and 8.4 rail kilometers from the terminus of that line at Ise-Nakagawa Station.
Matsusaka city is located in east-central Kii Peninsula, in central Mie Prefecture. It stretches the width of Mie Prefecture, and is bordered by Ise Bay on the Pacific Ocean to the east, and Nara Prefecture to the west. Parts of the city are within the limits of the Yoshino-Kumano National Park.
