'Tree of Life'

I see you on the long road home
Against the clouds to hide your wounds
The light fades in the winter skies
Lost in quiet dreams tonight

Ooh let the roses climb
Between the thorns to rise above
And you will find your way, my dear
It's out there looking for your love

Let go the cruel grip of ice
The mountain wind has heard your voice
A broken heart beats strong within
Call your tribe, your next of kin

Old branches, like sweet withered hands
In grace, unbowed, she makes her stand
The tree of life, with roots unseen
We follow her to the evergreen

Let the sad days fall behind
Around your feet for the moths to find
Like golden leaves you once held close
Honour those you love the most

There's fairies in the woods you know
Your Grandma told you long ago
And she knows how we'll ride this storm
You know she keeps you far from harm

Oh the trees, they hide their fears
They've lived amongst us all these years
Sometimes the empty heart, cut down
Rise in glory, tall and proud

They will be here long past us
A hidden life of ageless trust
And all the land the eyes can see
Stands testament for love to be
