The MTR Light Rail has around 140 vehicles, but not every train will be stabled at the depot after service hours. Some trains will park at several stations with multiple platforms, such as Tin Shui Wai Stop, to start the service as soon as around 5 a.m. The trains don't have to travel from the depot to far away terminus.

輕鐵擁有超過140輛列車，但不是所有列車都會在深夜返回車廠，而是前往一些有多個月台的車站停泊過夜，例如天水圍站。這樣列車可以不用從車廠花時間前往較偏遠的車站和總站開始載客，接近5時頭班車時便可開始運行。
