Altai. An amazing land located at the junction of the borders of Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia and China. On a relatively small area, a variety of natural zones are concentrated: mountain tundra and impenetrable taiga; arid steppes and glacier-covered mountains. Lakes rich in fish and fast rivers with crystal clear water.
Lake Dzhulukul is the second largest lake in the Altai Mountains. The lake is located on the Chulyshman plateau. The Chulyshman River originates from the lake.
Yazulinsky Canyon is one of the most remote areas of the Altai Mountains. Here, among the landscapes that have not changed for thousands of years, the village of Yazula is located, in which the traditional culture of the Telengits, the ancient inhabitants of Altai, is kept.
On the right bank of the Chulyshman, in the Karasu gorge, there are amazing creations of nature, called "Stone Mushrooms".
Having overcome about 200 km from Lake Dzhulukul, the river flows into Lake Teletskoye. The river Biya flows out of the lake. Merging with the Katun River, the Biya forms the Ob, one of the longest rivers in Siberia.
