Here is a great Norwegian wood carving piece made in northern Minnesota. This acanthus wall hanging is a Rolf Taraldset style carving made out of basswood. The "akantus" woodcarving is similar design to paint rosemaling.

This was a winter project inspired by the Scandinavian traditions.
