in here, i will tell you about The legend of Situ Bagendit comes from West Java, Indonesia. The story begins with a beautiful woman named Dayang Sumbi who had a son named Sangkuriang. One day, Sangkuriang was hunting a deer and accidentally found a wild dog which he became his friend. When Sangkuriang invited Dayang Sumbi to marry him without realizing that Dayang Sumbi was his own mother, Dayang Sumbi refused on the condition that Sangkuriang had to make and carry a boat and a large lake overnight. Sangkuriang almost succeeded, but Dayang Sumbi asked the gods for help to thwart his efforts. Sangkuriang was angry and threw the objects he had made, which later became Mount Tangkuban Perahu, the lake that formed Situ Bagendit, and the Citarum River. This legend describes the determination of a mother and also the power of nature that is believed by local people.
