A tutorial on how I choose where to make my cuts when milling logs into lumber. I mill a couple Douglas fir logs into lumber with my Woodmizer LT15 Start sawmill. I demonstrate how I choose where to make the cuts to produce heart center lumber and boards with more uniform grain patterns. The idea is to try to make more stable lumber that is less likely to warp and twist. The logs were cut from my forest land from dying Douglas fir trees. I plan on using some of the lumber for building a small off grid cabin. You can support the channel through Patreon at patreon.com/WilsonForestLands
