Oman Episode 4

Starting the new year the right way . Waking up in the middle of the mountains, after camping under a million stars! Ready to tackle one of the most challenging roads in Oman. The pass through wadi Bani Auf, that connects Rustaq to Nizwa. These were the most challenging and difficult roads I've ever attempted. Incredibly steep ascends /descends paired with hairpin turns and soft silty sand. At one point I thought I was going to go over the side of a cliff ! I was very nervous, especially being by myself, but I was up for the challenge ! Being on a borrowed KLR 650 I was unable to have it lowered or have proper luggage panniers on it so it made it even more difficult, but, I wouldn't let that stop me having the most epic trip ever. Challenging my mind and body and the victory of coming out the other side.
