Learn this proven approach which builds upon the tried-and-true STAR method for answering behavioral interview questions. Demonstrate your grow mindset to stand out from other candidates, pre-empt follow up questions, and land a job at a top-tier company like FAANG!

1️⃣ Situation (what was happening / what was the goal / what was the problem)
2️⃣ Tasks (what you were responsible for in the Situation -- I often combine 1️⃣ and 2️⃣ )
3️⃣ Actions (what you did to address the problem)
4️⃣ Results (ideally positive, quantify impact)
5️⃣. What I learned (show your growth mindset, pre-empt their follow up❓s)
6️⃣. What I'd do differently if faced with the same situation today (expand upon 5️⃣ )

6️⃣. What I've done in future, similar projects (show that you've used the lessons learned)


Practice Behavioral Interview Questions (using STAR++)
(conflict) Tell me about a time when you had a conflict with a manager.
(adaptability) Describe a time when you had to make a change to your approach on a project.
(prioritization) Tell me about the hardest work decision you've made in the last 6 months.
(communication) When have you had to persuade others to see a situation from your perspective?
(values) Tell me about the best team you've ever worked on.
