I still remember when watching a simple 10-minute video on YouTube used to be so enjoyable. Then came YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, making things even more stimulating. And if that wasn’t enough, now there are videos with car racing games or Minecraft jumping clips playing at the bottom while funny videos play on top, making our already overstimulated minds even more stimulated. I don’t know where this is all headed, but one thing I know is if this keeps going, we're all going to be in trouble.

As you can see right now, your attention is more on the Minecraft game than on the text above where there’s a spelling mistake. What’s happening here is that our brains love novelty, and now that novelty has become infinite. There are infinite YouTube videos, infinite Shorts. People say we’re living in a simulation, and while I don’t know about that, we’re definitely living in a world of stimulation. If you want to stimulate your brain, you have infinite possibilities.

But if you get trapped in these stimulations, you’ll end up just being a means for these trillion-dollar companies to make money and never achieve anything in your own life.
