A small but sturdy wooden boat like Ubique doesn't come along often, hence why when she came up for sale, 'newbie' David jumped at the opportunity to own her. The Lyle Hess design vessel was built at the only Wooden Boat Building School of its kind in Australia, The Wooden Boat Centre, in Franklin, Tasmania and hosts many Summer weekends for Dave's young family.
