The North Kalimantan Communist Party (北加里曼丹共產黨 | Parti Komunis Kalimantan Utara) was a communist party in the Malaysian section of Borneo. Wen Ming Quan (文铭权) was the party chairman, and the party had close relations with People's Republic of China. Similarly to the Malayan Communist Party on the mainland, the majority of party members were ethnic Chinese. The party was opposed to the formation of the Malaysian Federation and fought in a long guerrilla war from 1962-1990 to establish an independent socialist state in northern Borneo, known as the North Borneo Federation (or North Kalimantan, not to be confused with the region of the same name in Indonesia).
