This week we take you back to the Autumn of 2022, as Pecky tackles the intimate and picturesque Cheshire Lake in France. This 5-acre holiday venue is available to all on an exclusive bookings basis, and said to hold in the region of 70-100 carp. The average size is over 40lbs, and with fish to over 70lb he can’t wait to get started. 


Cheshire has a large population of both Crayfish and Mussels, meaning not only do you have an abundance of natural food to contend with, but a thoughtful consideration to end tackle, loose feed and hook baits is required. 


The session starts slowly as Pecky gets his location and tactics amiss, but a change of bait becomes the catalyst that sees him go on to land a string of big carp, with several weighing in excess of 50lbs.
