It seems every garage has one (or more) of those common metal tool chests. You know the ones. The kind with those tiny, shallow drawers… good enough for a few pencils, and maybe a wrench or two, but that’s about it. We know the score — those drawers were never designed for woodworkers! We need BIG drawers, for BIG tools. So let’s fix that!
In this video, I show you how to customize that store-bought tool chest, so you can make it perfect for YOUR needs! Using a half-sheet of 1/2” plywood and some common hardware, we'll convert 4 skinny, not-very-useful drawers, to one BIG 10” drawer. This is an easy afternoon build anyone can do - even if you’ve never built a custom drawer in your life.
