Bonn is a charming city with a rich history and vibrant culture located in western Germany and straddling the Rhine river. The city is full of stunning architecture, which lends itself to the enchantment of its Christmas markets found in the city center. It’s stunning squares transform into intimate "Christmas villages" enticing tons of pre-Christmas flair.

Cologne was our "homebase" for this day trip, and is about a 20 min trip on the train.
