Today is another exciting day as I am going to explore Zhagana Village. I plan to walk and explore every corner of this village if possible. First and foremost, let me introduce Zhagana Village to everyone.

Nestled deep in the Zhagana Mountains, surrounded by stunning natural beauty, is Zhagana Village, an ancient Tibetan village full of rich and lengthy stories. A unique Tibetan village known for its distinctive form of self-governance. Unlike most villages in China.

Zhagana operates with a decentralized system, where elders and community leaders hold significant influence in decision-making processes. This autonomy stems from a degree of self-governance granted by the Chinese government.

The extent of this self-governance and the specific relationship with the Chinese government can be complex, but it allows Zhagana to maintain a strong sense of cultural identity and manage its day-to-day affairs through traditional practices and consensus-building among community members.

I will also take you to visit Lasang, the most sacred place hidden within this village. Lasang is believed to have been built to enshrine the Buddha statue and is filled with ancient architecture. The murals on the walls are incredibly beautiful, and various exquisite sculptures adorn Lasang. The people of Zhagana Village deeply respect and worship Lasang, and it is a place of constant pilgrimage.

Zhagana Village has a long history that spans thousands of years. Archaeological evidence suggests that people have been living in this village since before Christ. Life in the village is simple, with people raising animals, growing vegetables, and living harmoniously with nature.
