Celebrating the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's (1770-1827) birth, this recital is dedicated to three of his Piano Sonatas: op. 2 #1 in F minor, op. 2 #3 in C major, and op. 57 in F minor ("Appassionata").

Each of these powerful works displays Beethoven's incredible prowess as a virtuoso pianist (particularly in his early years) as well as his ability to create gripping, dramatic music that still moves and inspires listeners centuries later.
