This presentation from the 13th Annual Nevada State Conference on Problem Gambling, presented by Michelle Malkin, JD, explores the lives and experiences of people who have a history of compulsive gambling. Research was conducted and anonymous surveys were analyzed for types of social, economic, employment, and legal consequences people faced due to their gambling. Findings allow for fuller understanding of compulsive gamblers, as well as the different ways compulsive gamblers have been involved in the criminal justice system, primarily for white-collar type crimes to support gambling and gambling related debts. Results are also considered based on gender.

Additionally, Ms. Malkin shares her own story of the consequences she faced motivated by her problem gambling.
