Carolyn McLeod is the Chair of the Department of Philosophy in Faculty of Arts & Humanities and is one of Canada’s leading experts on the ethics of adoption, conscientious objection in the provision of medical care, and the nature and role of trust in healthcare settings.
Carolyn’s distinguished service record extends beyond the walls of academia, as she is a founding member of the advisory board of Ontario’s Adoptive Parents Association and its first Board Chair.
Carolyn McLeod gave this presentation at the Distinguished University Professors Lecture of Western University in April, 2024 addressing “Publicly Engaged Philosophy”.
