If you're like me and your bike suddenly starts running crappy on low RPM's, then there's absolutely something wrong with your bike. But don't fret, it's an easy fix and its cost won't be more than $30-$300 max for YAMAHA genuine parts. If you do it yourself, this will be how much you pay.

If you decide you'd rather take it to the shop here is the cost breakdown! My local shops charge $110-120/hr, you are looking at 1-2 of labor for IGNITION COILS replacement minus the parts they will charge you. If you are doing both at the mechanic it definitely will cost up to three hours of labor. The total? $360/labor + $273/parts
but check your local mechanic for accurate pricing!

My local mechanic wanted to charge me $105x4 for ignition coils and $10x4 for spark plugs. While another one charged me way less. So please buy online, or call your local shop and do your research!

MOST of the time your problems are faulty spark plugs and ignition coils. In my situation, I changed my spark plugs earlier this month due to very rough running and idle issues and it solved my problem for a short amount of time. I noticed it still wasn't running like it used to. The next usual problem is the "IGNITION COILS" even though it might look fine, it needs to be changed.

It's recommended you change both at the same time, but I understand if you want to see if it's the spark plugs first since it's the cheapest, but in terms of labor wise, it's best to just do both at once, unless you recently changed your spark plugs or if you got new coils but haven't changed your spark plugs.
