The “Golden Waterfall” is situated near Jiufen village in New Taipei. Here, water bursts forth from underground sources. As it flows through mining areas and interacts with sulfur, arsenic, and copper ores, a process of redox and iron synthesis transforms the water into a golden acidic mineral water with a hint of orange.
