When our day first started, my buddy Owen and I did not expect to come across as many artifacts as we did so high up in these mountains. Like many of the mines in the area, primary mining was copper, lead, zinc and silver as well as molybdenum used during WW2. We put in a good amount of miles and elevation gain getting to the five different mine sites. In my opinion, we saved the best for last and were pleasantly surprised at what we found high up the wash. Enjoy!
