Originally recorded on September 6th, 2024

The third crossing that I wanted to record again was in Guilderland, on County Line Road. After arriving here in the morning and waiting for a bit on September 6th, this eastbound manifest train zooms through with CSX GE 749 ES44AH, with CSX GE 5285 ES40DC as the DPU. But then after the train clears the crossing 30 seconds later, the crossing activates again for an westbound intermodal train with CSX GE 915 ES44AH leading CSX GE 951 ES44AH, CSX GE 3047 ES44AH, CSX GE 3042 ES44AH, CSX GE 5260 ES40DC, and CSX GE 5326 ES40DC. These were the only trains that I saw on this day.

Since I was last at this railroad crossing, CSX unfortunately replaced the old 1980s bell-less Conrail signals here with the typical modern CSX signals. These signals were put in towards the end of August, making this crossing having the newest pair of crossing signals on the CSX Selkirk Subdivision. I have to say, even though I am saddened by the old Conrail signals being replaced, these modern CSX signals do look nice, especially since the bells are not side mounted.

Right Signal: WC Hayes 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, Siemens S-60 gate mechanism, WC Hayes double-sided base, NEG E-bell, NEG LED gate lights.

Left Signal: WC Hayes 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, Siemens S-60 gate mechanism, WC Hayes double-sided base, NEG E-bell, NEG LED gate lights.
