For his ability to remind us that true listening—to the other actors, to himself, to the audience, and to the play’s rhythms, music, and silences—is the most thrilling thing to watch (and a rare occurrence to boot), we stand in speechless awe. For his capacity to express such an endless, complicated reservoir of emotions with such depth, and true care, we cherish the vulnerability on which his performance is built.
