Since ArenaNet announced that every owned of at least 1 Legendary Rune would get the Legendary Relic for free with the February 27 update, prices of some of the crafting materials have skyrocketed.

Prior to the Secrets of the Obscure expansion, crafting a single Rune would set you back about 320 gold. Ever since the launch, the cost increased to around 475 gold. But now, we're looking at a very steep 880 gold, and that number is still rising!

This has lead to many questions, especially at what point crafting a rune before the update won't be worth crafting anymore. Once the eligibility period for a free Legendary Relic lapses, Charms are likely to drop in price. Possibly even by 50%. With that in mind, I ran the numbers what the possible cost would be from the next update onward. Even though we don't know the exact ingredients for the new Legendary Relic, we can make some educated guesses.
