Tikki is a popular Indian snack, often made from potatoes and spices. Here's a simple recipe for *Aloo Tikki* (Potato Tikki):

Ingredients:
4 medium-sized potatoes (boiled and mashed)
1/4 cup boiled peas (optional)
1 tablespoon cornflour (or bread crumbs) for binding
1 green chili (finely chopped)
1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon chaat masala (optional)
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves (chopped)
Oil for frying

Instructions:
1. *Prepare the Mixture:*
Boil the potatoes, peel, and mash them in a bowl.
Add the boiled peas (optional), finely chopped green chili, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, chaat masala, salt, and chopped coriander leaves.
Add cornflour or bread crumbs for binding. Mix everything well to form a smooth dough.

2. *Shape the Tikkis:*
Divide the mixture into equal portions.
Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it slightly to form a patty (tikki).

3. *Fry the Tikkis:*
Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
Shallow fry the tikkis until they turn golden brown and crispy on both sides. You can also deep fry or air-fry them if you prefer.

4. *Serve:*
Serve hot with mint chutney, tamarind chutney, or yogurt. You can also use them in a chaat recipe or as a patty in burgers.

Enjoy your crispy and delicious Aloo Tikki!
