The Temptations performing live at Tioga Downs Casino, June 27th, 2024!
Featuring Otis Williams, Ron Tyson, Jawan Jackson, Terry Weeks, and Tony Grant on lead!
This was my first Temptations show I had ever seen live! This song is also what jumpstarted my interest in the Temptations, it was a great moment and a helluva show.
The Temptations had a lot of banter, comedical bits, and just showcases of personalities between every song. Near the beginning of their shows, they introduce themselves and showcased their musical prowess individually. My favorite was the little cover of "Power" that Jawan does.
Otis Williams remarked that his friend Melvin was smiling proudly up above at the job Jawan does.
Most of the songs they did were golden oldies, but they did do "Stay" with Tony Grant singing lead! Which was amazing. They also did "Elevator Eyes", being the newest song they did at the show.
The backing band and orchestra was truly spectacular, they did the songs absolute justice. I really like that their band also dances along w/ the Tempts, that was super cool. Otis said one of the guitarists is Paul Williams' grandson, Adrian Williams! If you know the names of the rest of the band, please let me know!
I'm forever grateful I got to see these guys! I really think they're hitting a golden stride lately. Their lineup is awesome, I hope we get another album soon!
